Welcome to Week 6 of the Unite & Rise Civic Action Challenge. This week’s theme is LEARN.
Registration is only the beginning. Voters also need reliable, nonpartisan information about the races, candidates, and ballot questions before them. Your Civic Circle action is to explore VOTE411 and share it with the people in your circle. Ask whether there is a race or ballot question they want to learn more about.
You can send this message:
Hi! We have been talking about getting ready for the election, and I wanted to share a nonpartisan resource from the League of Women Voters. VOTE411 can help you learn more about the races, candidates, and ballot questions in your area. Is there anything on your ballot you want more information about?
Your League action is to attend, watch, promote, or volunteer with a League candidate forum or voter education program. If your local chapter does not have an event scheduled, help share VOTE411 or another League resource.
After you complete both actions, log them in the Civic Action Tracker. Bring a friend to a forum or share the recording if you can.
We never tell voters what to think. We make sure they have the information they need to decide for themselves.
After you complete both actions, log them in the Civic Action Tracker.
